Instructor Profile:	In 2003 the YMCA in Davenport sent Erica to her first instructor training for Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 1. She admits that she didn't know one thing about martial arts or tai chi at the time. Erica knew after that weekend that it was something she would continue with for the rest of her life. She has been teaching Tai Chi for Arthritis at the YMCA since then and has a small group of dedicated students who have stuck with her over the years and now have her working with them on Sun Style 73 Form. In 2008, Erica had her first opportunity to meet Dr. Lam at his Exploring the Depth of Tai Chi for Arthritis workshop in Kansas City. She also stayed on a couple of extra days there to get her Tai Chi 4 Kidz certification. After the Kansas City workshop, Erica started classes with the City of Davenport Parks and Rec Dept. The City also put Tai Chi 4 Kidz into the schedule for the Stepping Stones After School Program and Erica has a lot of fun with the kids in this program. In June 2009, she attended the one week workshop in Memphis as one of the scholarship recipients. In Memphis she participated in Sun Style 73 Form. Most recently Erica organized a Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 1 workshop for Master Trainer, Ralph Dehner. It was held on the weekend of Feb. 20 and 21, 2010 in DeKalb, IL. Erica continues to teach for the YMCA and The City of Davenport, and is looking for new places to share this program and help people. She is currently organizing an “Exploring the Depth of TCA” for Dr. Lam to be held in Chicago the first weekend of October 2010.
